Instabee Group continues to develop its offering within smart and sustainable parcel logistics. A pilot project is currently underway, testing a portfolio of new solutions designed to help customers and partners optimize their deliveries together with Instabee Group, while also preparing for future regulatory requirements.
Throughout the project, the company has developed several new components and ways of working that enable more efficient use of existing infrastructure. Through increased integration with selected merchants and data-driven optimizations, capacity across the logistics chain can be utilized more effectively without increasing the number of transports.
The result is a more dynamic and resource-efficient logistics system, where parcel lockers and vehicles are filled more effectively, costs are kept down, and carbon emissions per shipment are reduced. The solution enables competitive pricing without compromising delivery speed or availability. Instabee Group has seen growth of 50 to 100 percent from selected partners.
The development of the portfolio is also carried out with a clear focus on regulation. The EU’s Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) will begin to apply in August 2026.
One of the most significant changes introduced by the regulation is the requirement to reduce unnecessary empty space in e-commerce packaging. Through its new solutions, Instabee Group helps customers and partners adapt to these requirements already today, while optimizing deliveries from both a cost and sustainability perspective.
- With the new portfolio we have developed, we can use our infrastructure much more intelligently and with a lower environmental impact. By basing decisions on actual capacity and real-time data, we create better deliveries for consumers, more cost-efficient shipping options for our partners, while preparing for upcoming EU requirements, says Joakim Slettengren, Chief Growth Officer at Instabee Group.
Machine learning and data-driven flows for increased efficiency
Instabee Group has also been granted a patent for a proprietary machine learning solution that increases the precision and efficiency of the company’s sorting processes. The new technology makes it possible to determine, in real time, the smallest possible locker space in which a shipment can be placed - an especially complex challenge for bags, as their shape and volume can vary significantly.
By combining technological innovation, data-driven flows, and clear accountability across the entire delivery chain, Instabee Group is taking a holistic approach to the future of logistics. The initiative demonstrates how existing infrastructure can be used to its full potential, how air can be replaced with actual deliveries, and how the industry can meet growing volumes without increasing its climate footprint.
